The European Standard on Osteopathic Healthcare Provision issued by CEN, the European standards body, and available at NSAI (www.nsai.ie), provides a benchmark of the standard of healthcare that should be provided to patients throughout Europe when it comes to osteopathic education, diagnosis, treatment and care.

The Osteopathic Council of Ireland is a member of the European Federation and Forum for Osteopathy (EFFO) and is committed to the provision of quality healthcare for the benefit of patients in Ireland, while ensuring the highest standards of ethical and professional practice by its members.

The OCI ensures that all registered members have obtained the necessary standards of education and training required to safely practice Osteopathy in Ireland. Any complaints relating to standard of Osteopathic patient care can be made directly to the OCI.
